Trapper’s Day at the Capital
The annual Trapper’s Day at the Capital will be Thursday, March 5th, from 9-1, in room 316 in the State Capital. If you’ve never been to the Trapper’s day, please try to make it this year. We will meet at 9:00 a.m. in room 316 on the third floor of the Capital. There will be trappers there to visit with, legislators will come and some will give short speeches throughout the day. Its a large room and we want to fill it up with trappers. You can bring your wife and it would be good experience for kids.
If you plan on coming, now is the time to make meetings with both your state Senator and your House of Representatives member. You can just email them. Be sure you tell them you are a constituent, are going to be at the capital for the Trapper’s day, and would like to meet with them. I can help you make meetings if you want, and I or someone with experience can even go to your meetings with you. Theres no reason to be nervous, your legislators want to meet you. Schedule your meetings at least one hour apart to give yourself time to get from one building to the other. You walk between buildings but it can take some time if you dont know where you are going.
If you know other trappers, carpool with them. You can even contact your district director to see if they have room or know someone else going. You can even go to the meetings with them if they are in the same legislative district.
Any questions just call Randy Goldenman. 612-598-3886
Hope to see you there!
