As I write our trapping season is right around the corner. Our fall directors meeting was held in Brainerd on October 4th. It was a very nice meeting with many topics discussed.

District 4 held their fall meeting in Knife Lake on October 11th. The crowd was small but still a good meeting. Myself and Tom Boser were re-elected as director and co-director. Dale Jindra chose not to run. District 4 member Bryan Cope spoke about a website he produced -www.civiclens.net – to quickly find your congressman and look up various bills and the status of them. Check it out.  He says it is a very safe site.

A real interesting topic I read about is the NTA membership. It is nearly 9,000 members. They were very concerned about losing 40 members, but the strange part is that 24 of those were from Minnesota. 1 per state as a whole and 24 from Minnesota. What is happening to our membership? Is it prices or age? A topic to think about and discuss. I hope everyone has some trapline plans and wish everyone a safe and prosperous season.
