Convention season is behind us, and trapline planning and preparation are done. Luckily, we will have open water for a week or two. The rumor is beaver prices may be advancing a bit. Consider donating to the Tanned Fur Project. Tim is in particular need of grey foxes, skunks, and badgers, although donations of any quality pelts are always appreciated. Our winter General Membership Meeting and Legal Defense Fund Banquet will be on January 14 in the Brainerd area. Those having young people that trap with you are encouraged to participate in the Pelt Handling competition this year. Contests will also be held for the heaviest raccoon, longest muskrat, and beaver tails. Enjoy the holidays, and bring someone along on the line—time to get back in the fur shed.
