Time just keeps ticking along. So far spring has been beautiful, all the white grains have been seeded and the farmers are waiting now to put in their beans and other later crops.
On behalf of District 2, I would like to extend our sympathies to Linda and the Raeker family on the loss of their loved one, Rick. He will be sadly missed by all.
We just finished a Trapper Education class in Roseau, Mn. We had 25 youngsters take the class. I'd like to thank Mike Dahl for organizing it. Also for the help we got from Rick Olson, Mike Millner, and C.O. Ben Heurner.
Next up is the Roseau County Fair. I'll be having a booth there. Anyone wishing to help just show up, evenings are the time help is needed.
The summer convention will be in Barnum, Mn. on July 30 thru August 1st. On Thursday we will need volunteers from 7:00 am to 8:00pm. Our district will be on gate duty Friday from 11:45- 4:00 pm. and have the MTA booth on Saturday 10:45-2:00 pm. The more help we get the easier it is to divide up, if some want to go to a Demo or some other activity.
This year the NTA will have their convention in Marshfield, Wisconsin August 5-8th. Not so far away, maybe a good time to plan a vacation?
Keep selling those tickets, have a great summer. Hope to see you at the convention. Bring a friend and have a good time.
